Our Story

After training under some of the area’s most respected builders, Roger first incorporated Roger Wilkie, Jr. Builder, Inc. in 1981 as a sole practitioner operating out of a modest family garage. Since then, we have had the good fortune to grow and prosper as a company allowing expansion among our millwork facilities along with our talented team of carpenters.

As we experienced growth through the years, we have always tried to keep an eye on the future in terms of woodworking technology, sustainability, and mentorship. Whether that be through advanced technologies such as CNCs or partnerships with regional technical schools to provide internship opportunities. Most recently, we have added in-house architectural services to our scope of work while continuing to welcome the opportunity to work alongside architects. 

Unlike most, our process is a bit different. We do not operate as a collection of subcontractors that we manage. As a meticulous builder, we insist on the highest level of quality in all phases of the home building process from framing to finish carpentry. To achieve this, our team is composed of well-rounded builders that work on all carpentry-related aspects of a home from start to finish. This allows us to control quality at every phase of a project and consistently produce dwellings that exceed our customers’ expectations.
